A $152 million pool of “forgotten cash” is being held by Revenue NSW from deceased estates, dividends, bonds and overpayments.
One person from Cabramatta in Sydney’s southwest is owed more than $1 million, but they haven’t been found.
The total fortune unclaimed by residents across the state is $152 million.
“There’s lots of money unclaimed and that’s because people simply forget to claim it,” NSW Finance Minister Victor Dominello said.
